The laboratory of Geoinformation and positioning technology divided in 2008 into two research groups. These groups work in the Department of Surveying in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.
The researchers and educators in the groups create geospatial and geodetic knowledge, and advance know-how and technology in the related fields. The research groups produce the Degree programme of Geomatics together with the research group of Photogrammetry and remote sensing.
